Membership Area

We've been long overdue for tidying up our Membership process, so here's the start.

The key point is that to take part in any BBS events (especially out-meetings and Barcombe Bonfire Night itself) you must be a formally-registered Member of the Society. Nothing too difficult about achieving this:

1. Print out and read the Membership Application Form.
2. Fill out the form according to your requirements, having read it first so you know what sort of membership you would like, etc.
   Note: please don't try filling it out electronically in Word - it's unlikely to work, and you need to sign the form by hand anyway. Thanks!
3. Write out a cheque payable to "Barcombe Bonfire Society Ltd" for the subscription due (as indicated on the form).
4. Take the completed form and cheque along to the Village Shop, Turner's or to any member of the BBS Committee, all of whom will be delighted to receive your Membership Application.
5. That's it. We'll assign you Membership No(s) and present you with a Welcome Pack including your Membership Badge.

You may want to wait for us to come round and pick up the completed form on our house-to-house collection round (end of June/beginning of July), which is entirely fine. However, it would be appreciated if you could have everything written up in advance so we're not cluttering your doorstep for too long! Thank you.

Please note that anonymous donations remain most welcome if you wish to contribute but don't wish to be a Member. Just put donations in the envelopes left with you during the house-to-house rounds and leave them at the same places as membership forms (see above). However, you can also be a Patron - equivalent to a Household membership, but for a membership fee of £15 or more - without publicity being obligatory. Just fill out a Membership form as standard for Patron membership then write "No Publicity" anywhere on the form.
