• A warm welcome to Barcombe Bonfire Society's website.
  We hope you enjoy your visit. All feedback will be gratefully received by any of the Committee, and especially by Adam.
• STOP PRESS: Big changes on BBS Membership, which is becoming much better formalised, acknowledged and managed this year, as announced in the Barcombe News. Membership forms, rules and further info are on the Members page, so feel free to reference and use them. For the purposes intended, that is!
• Barcombe Bonfire Night 2007 was a rip-roaring success, with more guest societies than ever, a river of flame all the way out to Barcombe Mills, and the best fireworks display you'll ever see (certainly for the money). The 2008 Committee would very much like to do the same this year! The bad news is that we'll need to raise almost twice as much in funds. So please do check out and attend this year's BBS events. Get in touch with the Committee if you would like to find out more about what we do, join in or help out. If Bonfire works at all, it's because of our Community, and we really do appreciate that.
• Roz South has again done us proud with a Barcombe Bonfire 07 photo gallery at www.allthingsbrightonbeautiful.com (where you'll also find many more exceptional photos, Bonfire and otherwise).
• But she has some healthy competition in "Brightonian_M_UK"'s Barcombe Bonfire 2007 photo set, which seems to cover just about everything that happened! I believe Brightonian_M_UK is an alias of "Two-Wheel-Steve";, who, just to confuse matters, isn't actually from Brighton and is, I think, himself an alias of Steve Pilfold, a DJ on Rocket FM and elsewhere. Phew, glad that's cleared up.
• Some of the nifty 2004, 2005 (400th Anniversary), 2007 and 2008 badges are still around if anyone is interested - 50p each to Barcombe people, otherwise £2 (+ postage if ordering from a distance). Please contact Adam (see committee page).
